Homemade Face mask for deep cleansing, pore tightening and skin mattifying!
There was so much happening in past week that I could hardly come online. My sister delivered a baby :Congratulations–Baby-Girl: After that, mom and me had tough time shifting to a new house. Packing, shifting and unpacking was something I did for the first time. It was time-consuming and tiring 🙁
Anyways, I longed to come back to my blog and write a short article but did not get enough time. So finally I am all set to post continuously… :Approve:
Coming back to business, I have a wonderful recipe for your face. 😉
Deep cleansing + Pore tightening + Skin mattifying = Miracle mask
I use this mask every weekend and I have noticed reduction in greasiness and pore size reduction too. 🙂
1 tablespoon Besan (chickpea flour)
1 tablespoon Multani mitti (Fuller’s earth)
1/2 teaspoon Haldi powder (turmeric powder)
Juice of 1 tomato
few drops lemon juice
2 drops pure almond oil (alternative – olive oil/ 1 teaspoon yoghurt)
You can also make a batch of this homemade face mask by refrigerating the mixture of dry ingredients in a jar for about a month. Take required amount and add the bottom 3 ingredients when you have to apply.
P.S- I prefer using fresh ingredient.
Method: Mix all ingredients to form a paste. Not too thick nor too runny. Apply the mask with your fingers onto face and neck. Dry for 15-20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water followed by cold water. Pat dry and apply gel based moisturizer.
Tip: While applying the face mask, apply it in circular motion and upward direction. This will have an added benefit of exfoliating. Do not rub it after drying, it can damage your skin. Avoid this tip if you have sensitive skin or acne zits/pimples on your skin.
Besan and Multani mitti is use widely in ubtans to provide skin tightening and deep cleansing the skin. Multani mitti also help in reducing greasiness and shine…hence preventing acne.
Turmeric has anti-bacterial property as well as it imparts glow and lightens tan.
Tomato juice and lemon juice is rich in enzymes which help lighten the skin and deep cleanse the pores.
Almond oil prevents excessive drying of skin, moisturizes skin and helps lighten pigmentation and acne marks.
Apply this mask once a week and you’ll notice the difference in 3-4 applications. It is easy, ingredients are easily available in your kitchen and inexpensive. Most ingredients are safe. However, if you have sensitive skin please try this on hand or neck (patch test) before using on entire face.
P.S- I am sharing my own personal beauty tips that has worked for me and my skin type. I have a combination oily skin type. I however do not claim that this will work for everyone. Please do not blame me if this does not work for you. 🙂
